January 8, 2020: Pile burning near Sunriver

The Newberry division (Bend Ft Rock Ranger District) will be taking advantage of favorable weather conditions by burning a few miscellaneous piles throughout the week.  Piles will have open flame and smoke visible for several days following.  Fire personnel will monitor the burn areas until fire is declared out. 

• UDR unit 29 – Several small piles located along the Deschutes river near the Sunriver Airport

• Puma Units – Both large and small piles on the west side of Sunriver and near Spring River
