TOP THREATS IN DESCHUTES COUNTY

Understanding what types of threats can affect your community can also help you become better prepared. 
 

Deschutes County is vulnerable to a variety of natural disasters.  Wildfire is the No. 2 threat – especially for a wildland urban interface community such as Sunriver and the greater south Deschutes County region. 

 

Central Oregon is also at risk from winter storms, earthquake, high winds, volcanic eruption,

flooding and other conditions that could necessitate an emergency response.
